Arada said it has completed work on 5 key residential blocks in Naseej District – the creative hub of its US $9.5bn Aljada mega-community development in Sharjah – and has now begun the handover of these residential units within the district.

Each of the 482 homes in the 5 Sokoon buildings is close to an array of quality cultural, artistic and retail destinations, including Il Teatro, a landmark performing arts space that has been designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, said the developer in a statement.

With contemporary design and views of open courtyards and green spaces, the Sokoon buildings comprise 1-3 bedroom apartments with smart home features included as standard.

In addition to these amenities, Sokoon residents enjoy private access to gyms, swimming pools, children’s play areas and dedicated spaces for family barbecues, said the developer.

Naseej District also contains the Vida Aljada complex, which includes a hotel, branded residences and a range of exciting dining options. Featuring minimalist and contemporary design, Vida Aljada hosts high-end facilities and exemplary services.

Linking these 2 locations is a bustling piazza, a wide street with pedestrian crossings, that includes smaller shops, cafes, bookstores, fashion outlets and outdoor kiosks

Group CEO Ahmed Alkhoshaibi said, “This milestone reflects our continued focus on delivery and our ability to maintain momentum across one of the region’s largest and most established master-planned communities. We are entering a new phase of successive handovers at Aljada, including the completion of the Naseej District and the nearby Nasaq complex, as we move steadily towards full realisation of the master plan.”

With this Sokoon buildings completion, the overall number of Aljada’s finished residential units has now risen to more than 8,200.

In the coming weeks, Arada will also confirm the completion of the Vida Aljada hotel and branded residences complex, as well as the two Il Teatro Residences loft apartment buildings.

The 24m sqft Aljada mega-community is Sharjah’s biggest ever project and a transformational destination for the emirate.

In addition to numerous residential districts, Aljada is home to extensive retail, hospitality, entertainment, sporting, healthcare, educational and commercial amenities, all set within a green, walkable master plan, the developer stated.

“Aljada is now home to a rapidly growing population of more than 20,000 residents, and continues to provide a secure, stable and fully integrated environment where families can access everything they need for daily life,” said Alkhoshaibi.

“Our commitment remains unchanged: to deliver high-quality homes, on schedule, and to ensure that progress continues consistently, regardless of wider market conditions,” he concluded.

Beyond Developments has confirmed continued construction across its Dubai Maritime City masterplan, with measurable progress achieved across all active developments and key structural milestones delivered in line with approved schedules.

The UAE’s real estate sector is underpinned by one of the world’s most transparent and investor-protective frameworks, a system of governance, legislation, and regulatory oversight built to ensure continuity under all conditions. Escrow protections, RERA accountability, and the clear direction of the nation’s leadership have long provided the structural assurance that distinguishes this market globally, said a statement.

Beyond’s masterplan continues to advance steadily, transparently, and on schedule and in full alignment with the commitments made to investors and homeowners, it added.

Ramzi Rahal, Chief Development Officer, Beyond Developments said, “The UAE has built something rare, a market where confidence is not a sentiment, it is a structure. The leadership’s vision, the legal and regulatory frameworks, and the depth of this nation’s real estate infrastructure have created an environment where development does not waver.”

He added, “We continue to build across Dubai Maritime City and other locations not because conditions are easy, but because the foundations of this country make it the right place, at every moment, to invest, to deliver, and to grow.”

The update underscores full operational continuity across Aria, Saria, Orise, Sensia and The Mural, thus reinforcing the  execution of Beyond’s 8m sqft master-planned district.

Scheduled for completion in Q1 2027, Aria has reached 72.9% overall progress, with the superstructure fully completed, marking a major structural milestone. Blockwork and plastering have reached 95%, interior finishing works are progressing steadily to Level 30, and MEP first-fix works are complete.

Facade installation has advanced to Level 20, progressively revealing the tower’s architectural identity on Dubai Maritime City’s skyline, it stated.

On Saria, Beyond said it is recording 10.32% overall progress as per RERA. Following the appointment of Gulf Asia Contracting as main contractor in Q4 2025, over 7,500cu/m of concrete have been cast to date, with slab works completed through Foundation, Ground Floor, Podium 1, and Podium 2 levels.

Podium 3 is currently in progress and core walls are advancing to Level 1. In the coming quarter, slabs are targeted to reach the 6th floor and core walls the 9th, with finishing works scheduled to commence within the same period. The project continues to progress on track, with completion anticipated in Q1 2028.

On Orise, the developer said it has reached 5.99% overall progress as per RERA. Following the timely completion of enabling works and the appointment of ASGC Construction as main contractor, construction is actively advancing across multiple work fronts.

The team is progressing steadily toward the project’s first key structural milestone, completion of the ground slab targeted for June 2026, with foundation concrete works on track and core walls planned to reach Podium 1 within the next quarter.

On Sensia, it stands at 4.67% overall progress as per RERA, with enabling works completed and General Contracting Company appointed as main contractor. Over 1,050cu/m of concrete have been poured within tower areas, with the project advancing toward its ground slab milestone in May 2026. Core walls are planned to reach Podium 2 by end of the next quarter.

The Mural has achieved 6.43% overall progress as per RERA. Enabling works were completed on schedule and General Contracting Company has been appointed as main contractor.

With over 1,000cu/m of concrete poured across tower areas, the project is advancing with clear momentum toward completion of the underground and ground floor slabs by June 2026, and core walls are targeted to reach Podium 1 within the next quarter.

“As construction advances steadily across Beyond’s Dubai Maritime City masterplan, the message is clear: progress is visible, commitments are being honoured, and delivery remains firmly on track,” Rahal concluded.

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has now introduced five new maritime shipping services as part of efforts to strengthen supply chain resilience amid ongoing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.

The initiative, led by Mawani, aims to ensure the smooth movement of goods and maintain stable cargo flows despite regional uncertainties that could disrupt key global shipping routes.

The new services have been launched in collaboration with major international shipping companies, including MSC, CMA CGM, Maersk, and Hapag-Lloyd. The partnerships highlight the operational strength and adaptability of Saudi ports in responding to evolving maritime challenges.

Named GULF SHUTTLE, REDEX, JADE, AE19, and SE4, the services span multiple routes linking Saudi ports to key regional and international destinations. This expanded network is expected to improve connectivity and enhance overall logistics performance.

Mawani said the step reflects proactive efforts to boost the readiness of the maritime sector, ensure uninterrupted supply chains, and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a global logistics hub.

Together, the new routes offer a combined capacity of approximately 63,594 20ft equivalent units (TEUs), providing increased flexibility for exporters and importers while supporting more efficient trade flows. The move is also designed to reduce the impact of disruptions affecting critical maritime corridors, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz, while strengthening connections through the Red Sea and beyond.
